Community of Caring’s emergency women’s shelter, MaryRose Sanctuary, is a place where a woman in a desperate situation can find hope, help and safety.  She is provided with food, a clean bed, and also a place to shower, wash her clothes and find a listening ear.  The MaryRose Sanctuary was named for Dr. MaryRose Barral, a former professor at Gannon University.  Her generous bequest provided the funds to purchase and renovate the shelter but it is in dire need of forty donors to commit to $100 a month for the next twelve months to keep the doors open.  This will allow Community of Caring to continue offering this life saving service to our community.
